Before Bellevue existed, we were our own customers.
Both of us had been through the process of building or upgrading our
own homes, sourcing windows and doors, walking through showrooms,
sitting through quotes from the legacy brands. And both of us had the
same experience. We'd walk in wanting something specific. We'd leave
with a quote that had grown by 30 to 50 percent in customization
fees. The actual product that ended up on the wall was excellent. The
path to getting it was frustrating, opaque, and more expensive than it
needed to be.
The breaking point wasn't any single quote. It was realizing the same
hardware we were being charged a "premium upgrade" for was the same
hardware we'd seen on a Pella project the month before. The same
European-engineered components. The same high-performance glass. The
same precision aluminum extrusions. The brands had built a market
where the difference between an "entry-level" window and a
"premium-tier" window was, often, a label.
We started asking ourselves a simple question:
what would happen if you took the
exact same product, removed the showroom networks and the decades of brand
premium baked into every quote, and just sold it directly to people who
wanted it?
The answer was Bellevue.
We work with the same European manufacturers who supply parts of the
legacy brands' premium lines. We use the same hardware brands the
architects and high-end builders specify. We engineer for the same
performance standards. The only thing we don't do is charge customers
for the brand history.
Customization as standard is built into the same idea. The legacy
brands treat customization as a revenue line, making every
modification a chance to add margin. We treat it as the standard,
because our manufacturing is custom-by-default. There's no "standard"
being deviated from, so there's nothing to upcharge for.
The result is a window that's indistinguishable from what you'd buy
from Andersen, Pella, or Marvin, priced honestly, with every option
included, delivered direct to your project site. It's the company we wish had existed when we were specifying our own homes.
